Install Bookmark Sorter

Bookmark Sorter is available free on the Chrome Web Store.

Install from the Chrome Web Store

Bookmark Sorter runs in desktop Google Chrome, version 99 or later. Keep Chrome updated.

  1. Install Bookmark Sorter using the Chrome Web Store link above.
  2. Open Settings, add a rule and choose its exact destination folder.
  3. Export a bookmark backup from Cleanup & Recovery.
  4. Open the popup, select rules and choose Preview. Inspect the moves before choosing Apply.

Live auto-sort starts off. After reviewing your rules, select up to three for live sorting and enable it if you want newly saved matching bookmarks filed automatically.

Use Undo for supported moves. Recovery may skip bookmarks you changed later. A backup remains useful even when Undo is available.
